What makes a great Internal Door?

Beautiful internal doors are the finishing touches that can turn an ordinary interior into an extraordinary one.

With a constant stream of new products our internal door collection combines both up to the minute design with expert craftsmanship ensuring all our doors are built to last for years to come.

In a country with such a diverse heritage there are many different styles of home with differing door sizes. Older homes were generally built using the imperial system with the most common door being a standard 30”. Although, depending on the actual builder and the space they had to work with some internal door openings were as unique as the houses themselves. Today however, more and more homes are built using the metric system and therefore our aim is to offer as many variations to furnish every home. There are also a number of matching Bi-Fold door styles available to help you can create a consistent look with even the smallest of cubby-holes that have minimal or very limited space to open and close.

By only using A-Grade Timber within our doors it amplifies the natural beauty of the timber. Our collection of timber internal doors include Oak, Pine, Walnut and Wenge.

Toughened safety glass as standard for our glass range

The vast majority of our internal door designs have complementary glazed versions available in either clear, obscure or decorative glass. All of our glazed doors come with Toughened Safety Glass.

Deep u-grooves with Real Oak Inlays

Door Designs that utilise deep u-grooves offer a more elegant look and emphasize the door design better than shallower v-grooved designs. The Internal Oak collection of doors also include Real Oak Inlays to ensure a better quality looking door with greater colour consistency. This is the same for other timber doors like Walnut, Pine and Wenge.

Sourced from sustainable managed forests

With 90% of our products being FSC® or PEFC™ certified and the whole collection being Chain of Custody certified – therefore when you purchase an XL Joinery door you can rest assured that they have been produced following ethical and responsible forestry practices.

Engineered construction for greater stability and performance

There are many benefits for choosing a door with engineered construction over a solid Oak door. Probably the main reason is that Oak is a naturally found product and it is very common characteristic of trees to move or warp with influxes of temperature. By selecting an engineered internal door it can prevent this from happening as the construct has less freedom to move.
